Katsina state commissioner of environment Musa Adamu Funtua has reassured commitment of the present Dikko Radda led administration towards towards ensuring continued development in Katsina state.
Alhaji Musa Adamu Funtua who was speaking to our reporter in an interview in his office, said the policy thrust of the administration is provision of development projects in a all sectors.
He explained during the electioneering campaign that Governor Dikko Umar Radda went round the 34 local government areas listening to peoples views, needs and also promised to face the needs squarely with the aim of tackling them.
He noted that Dikko Radda led administration in Katsina State is so much concerned about security and taking steps to tackle the menace.
Speaking on activities of his ministry Alhaji Musa Adamu Funtua said after his swearing in as commissioner he took a tour to the agencies and Departments under the ministry for familiarisation.
He noted that safe, healthy and habitable environment is the secret to good life which is the aim of Dikko Radda administration.
He further said that ensuring good environment is a collective responsibility of all hence the need for people in the State to complement Government efforts in that regard.
The environment commissioner urged people to avoid dumping refuse in drainages which causes flood.
He also cautioned against indiscriminate felling of trees that causes desert encroachment, stressing that Government will take any possible measure to against felling of trees.
He called on people to rally round the Dikko Radda administration to attain more meaningful development.
